Which airport should I use?

Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) is the nearest airport for pickup and drop-off. Please inform us earlier of your arrival details to facilitate arrangements of transport to avoid any inconvenience.

What happens when I arrive at the airport?

Upon landing, proceed to the Visa line and through security. Our representative will meet you at arrivals holding; he or she will show a sign with your name and assist with transportation to your accommodation.

Which vaccinations should I get?

Yellow Fever vaccination is required from infected areas/countries or transit therein. Consult your physician for malaria prevention and other recommended vaccinations.

Do I need a Visa or Work Permit?

Visa can be obtained on arrival at JNIA, paid in cash ($100 for US nationals, $50 for others). Work permits may be necessary for certain cases, obtainable at the immigration office. In case you want a work permit, our Team will support you to obtain it.

How much money will I need? Can I use a credit card?

Credit cards are accepted but caution is advised. Local currency (Tanzanian Shilling, TZS) is preferable. Spending varies based on personal excursions and needs.

Do I need to know the host country language?

English is widely spoken; local language learning is encouraged but not mandatory.

What is the weather like in Tanzania?

Tanzania experiences varied temperatures depending on the season and location, our project areas are Dar es salaam, Kilwa, Bagamoyo and Arusha  we advise you dig dipper in internet.

Will I be able to contact home?

Yes, Purchase a GSM SIM card for communication and internet access. Our representative will assist you to get SIM card that will facilitate you to communicate at home.

What happens in case of a medical emergency?

Immediate medical assistance is ensured in case of emergencies. Adequate insurance coverage, including sending home, is mandatory.

Is there any risk of contracting HIV, yellow fever, or malaria?

Practice proper hygiene and take precautions against diseases like HIV, yellow fever, and malaria. Travel with essential medications and health supplies.
