Who are we?
AcT is an organization that empowers women, youth, farmers, and small fishermen and provides capacity-building services to grassroots civil society organizations so as to enhance their effectiveness in enabling engagement of citizens in sustainable development. It was officially registered as a national NGO in 2023 with registration number 00NGO/R/4922 under sections 11(1) and 17(2) of Act No. 24 of 2002 in the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women, and Special Groups. Together, we can create systems of fairness, integrity, and opportunity for all.

Where are we?
The heard quarter of Accountability Tanzania is located at Yusuph Street in Msigani ward, Ubungo Municipality, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, East Africa. Our office serves as the central hub for projects executed in collaboration with grassroots civil society organizations. Our skilled team specializes in offering expert guidance on various field areas, including sustainable agriculture, marine protection, chemicals and waste, good governance, climate action, and livelihood. We provide valuable insights into best practices in these fields, aiming to foster positive
impact and progress.

Our Farmers Training Centre (FTC) offers comprehensive field training programs customized to meet the specific needs of farmers and organizations. To ensure a seamless and comfortable experience for farmers and visitors, we kindly ask them to notify us in advance of their planned visit. Mkata Farm: Is a Premier Opportunity for Large-Scale Agricultural Production. AcT is managing a 1000-acre farm in Mkata, Handeni district, Tanga region, graceful for large-scale agricultural and livestock production. This virgin, undeveloped land offers a unique opportunity for us and international organizations, individuals, or foundations to partner with us in establishing a significant production hub.
