Who are we?
AcT is an independent Tanzanian Non-for-Profit organization that implement projects, provides grants and capacity building services to grassroots civil society organizations so as to enhance their effectiveness in enabling engagement of citizens in sustainable development. It was established in 2000 as regional organization in Morogoro region and later shifted to Dar es Salaam and officially registered as National NGO in 2023 with registration number 00NGO/R/4922 under section 11(1) and 17(2) of Act No.24 of 2002 in the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups.

The heard quarter of Accountability Tanzania is located at Yusuph Street in Msigani ward, Ubungo Municipality, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, East Africa. Our office serves as the central hub for projects executed in collaboration with grassroots civil society organizations. Our skilled team specializes in offering expert guidance on various field areas including Organic agriculture, Marine protection, Chemical and waste, Good governance, Climate action and livelihood. We provide valuable insights into best practices in these fields, aiming to foster positive
impact and progress.

Kilibongo Organic farm (Farmers Training Centre) At the AcT-Kilibongo Organic Farm, our Farmer Training Centre offers comprehensive field training programs customized to meet the specific needs of both organizations and individuals. To ensure a seamless and comfortable experience for our trainee and visitors, we kindly ask them to notify us in advance of their planned visit. This allows us to make necessary arrangements and accommodations for their training session.

Mkata Farm: A Premier Opportunity for Large-Scale Agricultural Production Accountability Tanzania (AcT) is managing a 980-acre farm in Mkata, Handeni district, Tanga region, graceful for large-scale agricultural and livestock production. This virgin, undeveloped land offers a unique opportunity for international organizations and foundations to partner with us in establishing a significant production hub.
We are inviting collaboration to develop this fertile land, turning it into a center of agricultural excellence.
