At Accountability Tanzania (AcT), we are driven by a passion for sustainable resource governance and environmental conservation. Established in 2023, AcT is an independent Tanzanian non-for-profit organization that provide grants and capacity building services to civil society organizations (CSOs) so as to enhance their effectiveness in enabling engagement of citizens in sustainable development. Our vision is to widely advance resource governance and environmental conservation as essential components of sustainability.

Accountability Tanzania operates all over Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar. We are providing grants and capacity building services to local grassroots civil society organizations to implement various programs effectively. Our strategies encompass community engagement and participation, government and policy advocacy, strategic partnerships, capacity building and training, information sharing, and multi-sectoral collaboration. Our collaborative efforts and dedication reflect our commitment to a sustainable and equitable future for Tanzania and its communities. Together, we strive to empower change, ensuring that resource governance and environmental conservation play a central role in our society’s development and well-being.
